Support
Notta Input is a Mac menu bar app for local voice input and quick screenshots.
Voice Input
Open the app, grant Microphone and Accessibility permissions, place your cursor in a text field, press Right Command to start dictation, speak, and press Right Command again to stop. In chat-style fields, press Return while dictating to stop and submit.
Screenshots
Press Right Option to start screenshot selection, drag a rectangle, then choose Copy or Save. The default selection mode is freeform. Fixed ratios are available from the screenshot toolbar.
Plans
Free includes 10 minutes of local voice input per day and default shortcuts. Pro unlocks unlimited daily dictation, custom voice and screenshot shortcuts, and a custom listening status position.
Permissions
Microphone access is used for recording dictation audio. Accessibility access is used only for shortcuts, cursor text insertion, and Return handling while dictating. Screen Recording permission is used only when you start a screenshot selection.
Troubleshooting
If text is not inserted, confirm Accessibility is enabled for Notta Input in System Settings. If recording does not start, confirm Microphone access is enabled. If screenshots fail, confirm Screen Recording permission is enabled.
Diagnostics
Use Open Diagnostics from the Notta Input menu to inspect local logs. Logs are stored on your Mac and are intended for troubleshooting timing, shortcut, recognition, insertion, and screenshot issues.
